Natalie F. Grandison is the Founder and Principal of Swiftwing Consulting LLC, a philanthropic advisory firm helping foundations, family offices, and individual donors move capital with strategic clarity and systemic impact. Drawing on 20 years of sector experience, Natalie is known for turning visionary donor intent into strategic, measurable change.
At Swiftwing Consulting, Natalie blends strategic grantmaking, due diligence, and field-building strategy to help philanthropists deploy capital with long-term vision. Her advisory practice spans “Big Bet” initiative design, portfolio scaling, scholarship program design, pooled fund alliances and spend-down strategies. A champion of collective action, she co-leads the Higher Education Forward pooled fund (15+ philanthropies, 30+ advocacy partners).
Prior to founding Swiftwing, Natalie directed a $640M+ portfolio at the A. James & Alice B. Clark Foundation. There she designed the operational architecture required to scale annual grantmaking from $10M to $160M during a $1.4B spend-down. Natalie has extensive governance and board leadership experience which includes serving on the Board of Directors for the National Institute for Student Success at Georgia State University. She is a former Trustee of the University of Virginia Engineering Foundation and former Board President of the Congressional Chorus in Washington, DC.
Natalie is the recipient of the National Scholarship Providers Association’s 2023 Ann Radcliffe Award and a 2025 Council on Foundations Career Pathways Fellow. She is a double alumna of New York University (BA ‘07, MPA ‘09) and is based in New York City.
